Emma squirmed eagerly, staring at herself in the mirror. “Hold still,” Iris said, smiling softly as she put the finishing touches on her eldest daughter’s hair. “I still can’t believe you’re getting married today,” she sighed, shaking her head slightly slightly. Emma just smiled, smoothing her loose, cream dress over her swollen stomach, glancing in the mirror at her mother and sisters, her smile seemingly intoxicating.
All the other girls were helping each other get ready, the vampire and tomboy both horrified by the dresses but hiding it for Emma’s sake. Stephanie with her own swollen stomach walked over to her big sister and smiled. “You look wonderful.” she said, thinking that white dresses and all of that was overrated but that it all seemed to fit Emma perfectly. “Yeah, Ronald just might break his face smiling when he sees you.” Amelia laughed some.
"Thank you," she said, waiting for her mother to be finished with her hair before spinning around slowly, a little giggle escaping her. "Oh, I doubt that," she said, laughing with Amelia.
Cecelia snickered, tugging on her dress without realizing it. “Yeah, he’s prolly more fidgety than you right now,” she said, her hands getting smacked away from her dress from Iris.
"No, your father’s likely tormenting him one last time before he gives you away," Iris sighed, going over each girl, making sure their dresses and hair were perfect. "Now then, where’s little miss flower girl?"
"Right here." murmured Camille who had been arranging Charlotte’s red ringlets. The little redhead was beaming and would have been bouncing off the walls if it hadn’t been for her aunt humming a calming tune. "How do I look grandma?" she asked and got up from her chair, twirling around in her dress.
"You look adorable, sweetheart," Iris said, smiling warmly. Emma smiled, walking over to Charlotte and kissed her cheeks, leaving faint pink lipstick lips on her daughter. "My precious flower girl~" she cooed, laughing slightly. She glanced at the door as she heard the music start, biting her lip nervously. "Are you ready?" Iris asked softly, smiling at her eldest daughter as she shooed the other girls out the door, taking Charlotte from Camille.
Charlotte giggled. “You’re so pretty mommy!” she said then turned when she heard the music too. All the girls got lined up then to walk down the aisle, waiting until it was time. It was then that William walked in and went over to Emma. “Ready, princess?” he asked, placing a kiss on his daughter’s cheek before offering his arm to her.
Ronald meanwhile was already at the end of the aisle, waiting for Charlotte and Emma. Of course, he was glad the others were there, but those were the two he was focused on then.
Iris smiled warmly, carefully cleaning Charlotte’s face off before setting her down. “Remember you wait a few moments before you go out, and start sprinkling handfuls of rose petals on both sides, alright?” she said, kissing her head before looking at Emma and smiling warmly. “I-I think so,” Emma murmured, taking William’s arm and hugging him close, still jumping around slightly.
Iris smiled, kissing Emma’s cheek before leaning up and kissing William’s. “Our oldest baby’s getting married,” she murmured, feeling tears in her eyes. She looked at them both before slipping out and sitting in the front row, giving Ronald a reassuring smile.
The little girl nodded and waited there, watching all her aunts for someone to tell her when to go. After one of them nodded to her she stepped out and started sprinkling the rose petals. She ended up sprinkling a lot at once and so she didn’t have any more about half way down but that wasn’t a problem for her so she just kept walking and smiling. William watched this until it was his turn to walk out with Emma. “I love you, baby girl.” he murmured and kissed her cheek once more before they started down the aisle. Even he had to keep from crying, still having a hard time with his daughters getting married.
Ronald smiled some back at Iris, though that smile widened when he saw Charlotte. The little girl of course walked right up to him so he bent down to whisper to her. “Go sit with yer grandmother, Char.” he murmured and kissed her forehead before she scurried over to Iris. When he looked back up he could see Emma and she got the widest smile from him of all.
Iris laughed softly as she watched Charlotte, remembering when Emma was that age. She pulled the red head onto her lap and kissed her cheek. “Are you excited?” she whispered, smiling warmply . She turned slightly as she heard the music change, standing and holding Charlotte close as she watched Emma walk down the aisle.
Emma smiled nervously, glancing up at William. “I love you too, Daddy,” she whispered, clinging to his arm with one of hers while the other rested on top of her stomach with a bouquet of flowers. Her eyes seemed to light up when she spotted Ronald, returning the smile excitedly.
